DHAKA: Pistol-wielding muggers snatched here Tk 10 lakh on Thursday night over firing a city money exchanger at Mirpur’s Janata Housing area.

The victim--Sharif Nasir Hossain, 28--is now undergoing treatment at a local Delta Hospital.

Sources told banglanews that the incident took place around 8:30pm.

Confirming the matter, Mirpur Model Thana duty officer Muktaruzzaman said that miscreants snatched away Tk 10 lakh from the man, after shooting him near Mirpur Janata Housing.

“Police, after being informed, rushed to the spot and took the man to a local hospital after rescuing,” he added. “A case, in this connection, is ready to be filed.”
