DHAKA: The officer-in-charge (OC) of city’s Kotwali Thana has been withdrawn on Thursday evening for his alleged involvement of a past month’s gold scandal.

Sources told banglanews that the withdrawn OC--Firoz Al Jalal--has been closed to the Rajarbagh Police Lines.

Instead of him, the former Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of the same Thana, Kabirul Islam, has been given the charges of Kotwali Thana.

Confirming the matter, Kabir Hossain said that the former OC has been withdrawn for his alleged involvement with a past month gold scandal.
