DHAKA: A human chain program was organized on Saturday demanding the immediate implementation of the eighth national pay scale.

The government employees of the third-class organized the program in front of the National Press Club.

Giving the government an ultimatum, the speakers said that the scale should be implemented by November 30. Otherwise, they will organize a grand rally in city on December 6.

Presenting 6-point demands, the organizers also threatened to declare tougher programs from the grand rally if their demands are not met.

The demands include the full-fledged implementation of the new pay scale from July and minimum basic salary to be Tk 15,000 per month.
