BRAHMANBARIA: Four people were killed and three others injured as a private car collided head-on with a truck in Sohagpur area under Ashuganj upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.

One of the deceased was identified as Nuruzzaman, 30. The rest of deceased could not be identified immediately.

Police sources said a private car collided head on with a sand-laden truck on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in the area around 2:00pm, leaving three passengers of the car dead on the spot and four others injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital where Nuruzzaman succumbed to his injury.

In-Charge of Khatihata Highway Police Sergeant Abdun Noor confirmed the matter to banglanews.
