DHAKA: Expelled minister Latif Siddique reached at High Court on Monday morning to seek anticipatory bail as several lower courts issued arrest warrants against him in cases filed over comments demeaning hajj, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and Tablighi Jamaat.
Lawyer Nurul Islam Suzon MP told banglanews that Latif Siddique reached at High Court premises at around 10:30am.
Latif Siddique returned to country by a jet of Indian Airlines at 8:40pm on Sunday.
Recently, Latif Siddique was sacked from the ruling Awami League cabinet, expelled from the party presidency and later from the party for his comments about hajj, Hazarat Mohammad (PBUH) and Tablighi Jamaat.
