MANIKGANJ: At least 12 people including women and children were injured as a gas cylinder exploded in a village fair in Bangala under Singair upazila on Monday.

Locals said a balloon seller was carrying a gas cylinder to puff his balloons in the fair. Suddenly, the gas cylinder blasted in the area around 12:00 noon, leaving 12 people injured. The injured were rushed to hospitals.

Officer-in-Charge of Singair Thana Syeduzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
