DHAKA: The government will introduce online Hajj registration from this year.

The interested devotees are asked to complete the registration and submit fees from December 15 to January 30.

Religious Affairs Minister Motiur Rahman made the disclosure to the journalists after an inter-ministerial meeting on Hajj at the secretariat on Thursday.

The minister also hoped that the Hajj package will be approved in the cabinet meeting on December 8.

Some 98,605 pilgrims performed hajj this year, he added.
