4 remanded on RU teacher killing case

RAJSHAHI: A Rajshahi court on Thursday granted four accused on different terms of remand in a case of Rajshahi University teacher AKM Shafiul Islam murder.

Judge Sharmin Akhter of Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate Court-3 passed the remand order after Officer-in-Charge (OC) Alamgir Hossain of Motihar Thana, also investigation officer of the case, produced them before the court with seven-day remand plea.

Rajshahi court police inspector Abul Hashem confirmed the matter to banglanews.

However, the court gave accused Jinnat Ali, Sagar and Arif on two-day remand for third term and Ibrahim Khalil alias Tokai Babu on three-day fresh remand.

They will be taken to the police station for interrogation, the OC added.
