DHAKA: A readymade garments businessman was killed in a road accident in Banani area of the city on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Kazi Aminur Rahman, 45, who was one of the owners of Satin Group in Gazipur.

Witnesses said a rashly driven passenger bus crushed into his motorbike on road no-27 of the area around 2:30pm, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital and shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) as the condition deteriorated. On-duty doctors at DMCH declared him dead around 5:00pm.

Police sent the body to DMCH morgue fro autopsy.
