DHAKA: A woman died after falling from the roof of a four-storied building in South Mugda area of the city on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shahinur Akter, 35, who resided in the area with her family.

Salauddin, brother of the deceased, told banglanews that she was watering tree on the roof of his house.

Finishing the watering, she was going to the nearby roof and slipped down to the ground through the space between two adjacent buildings, and sustained severe injuries.

She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries around 8:15am.

The body has been kept in hospital mortuary.
