DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will take responsibility of late journalist Jaglul Ahmed Chowdhury’s family, said road transport and bridge minister Obaidul Quader.
The minister said at a joint meeting of transport owners, workers and Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) officials at Allenbari BRTA office in city at 12:00pm on Tuesday.
Jaglul, who was managing director and chief editor of state-run Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), died in a tragic road accident in city on Saturday night.
The minister further said that the PM will take the responsibilities of Jaglul’s family as she is deeply concerned on the matter.
The premier is very close to the deceased’s family, the minister added.
He further said that he will receive the investigation report on Jaglul’s death by Sunday next.
According to the minister, necessary steps will be taken following the suggestions of the report.
