DHAKA: An unidentified man was killed and 10 others were injured in a collision between two trucks at Purana Paltan intersection in the city early Wednesday.

Identities of the injured could not be known yet.

The accident took place when a gas cylinder-laden truck (Dhaka Na 59-942) collided with a warm cloth-loaded truck (Rajshahi Ta 11-005) around 12:00am on the day, leaving 11 people injured.

Of them, five critically injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where one succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased was the driver of the gas cylinder-laden truck, whose detailed identity could not be known.

Shahbagh Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahfuzur Tahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
