FROM KUALALUMPUR: Bangladeshi girl Syeda Nuzhat Tahseen Pinak has been working with a Malaysian software company Wavlet Solutions as Operations Manager and efficiently serving clients of various ethnicities since 2010.
She, however, has been residing in Malaysia for 10 years. After passing her SSC examinations from Azimpur Agrani School in 2005, she left the country for Malaysia.
Her father Syed ABM Mosaddekul Haque and mother Mahbuba Jesmin who have been working as Operating Officers (Sales) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines for several years. Her father was once an ace table tennis player.
I went to meet Pinak on last Monday evening. She came to me with a smiling face even after a hectic day with office duty and traffic congestion.
While talking to her, Pinak expressed a different opinion on local police unlike many others.
While she was studying at her university, she said, one day she was driving a car without license along with one of her female friends. At that time she was asked to show her driving license. Actually she had no license at all. Her friend lied that they forgot to carry it before coming out of residence. Police gave them simply a warning telling to keep the license while driving the car.
As traveling is her hobby, she visited many major cities in the USA, Middle East, South Asia and Australia.
After coming in Malaysia, she did her Foundation Course at Malacca campus of Multimedia University. She had her graduation in Electrical Engineering (Major Telecom) from Multimedia University of Cyber Jaya.
In 2010, while doing internship Pinak joined Wavlet Solutions as support executive. Later, she was promoted to technical support leader to Customer Service Manager. She is now working as an Operation Manager.
Her working field is wide. She has been working from setting data base to Software Programming. Meanwhile, she successfully implemented a project of a Thai company and also worked with success as project manager of Samsung Malaysia.
Though she has been passing very busy days in Malaysia she feels the absence her family.
She regularly talks to her family in Dhaka and visits Bangladesh whenever chances come.
Pinak prefers flying in Bangladesh Biman, not because her parents work there but with a thought of making small contributions to the national carrier.
She lives in Subang in a large apartment as her parents visit her at least twice in a year. Her younger brother has completed his ‘O’ level this year. He is expected to come to Malaysia for higher degrees.
Pinak usually browses the online media for getting news of her country. She was not habituated in going through the newspapers while in Dhaka.
But now she is eager to know the happenings of her country.
After returning from office she prepares food. Her nature of job is such that in no time she has to respond to the clients even at 3 o’clock at night.
She is little fluent in Malay language as she uses English in the office.
I had a nice dinner at Nandoz restaurant located at the ground floor of Twin Tower.
Pinak showed her frustration over the girls of her country as they were not ambitious to be self-reliant. Rather they nourish old values of family life, she thinks.
This Bangladeshi girl is very polite. She offered me a lift to my residing place. I accepted the offer as I was too tired to make a journey by bus or train. Within a short time, I reached my destination as Pinak drove the car safely.
