MANGLA (BAGERHAT): Bashundhara Group (BG), the leading business conglomerate of the country, has provided some 25 computers to BN (Bangladesh Navy) School & College at Mangla in a bid to strengthen the laboratory of the school.

BG Managing Director Sayem Sobhan, as chief guest, handed over the computers to Principal of the school & college Commander M Azizul Haque (CNB) at a programme on Wednesday morning.

M Azizul Haque said Bashundhara Group has emerged as a unique name ensuring quality and highest level of service to its consumers.

He added: “It (Bashundhara Group) has been working to serve the people of the country with the slogan of ‘for the people, for the country’.”

The principal also said as a continuity of its mission and vision, the leading business conglomerate of the country has been working by spreading hope for a better future through education.

M Azizul Haque further said the organization has been participating in various developmental works, including providing stipend and free books among the poor students as well as spreading technological literacy.

Thanking Bashundhara Group, he recalled previous educational gifts by the organisation and said these computers have enriched the laboratory of the school and the students of this region will read its fruit.

Later, on behalf of BN School & College Principal M Azizul Haque handed over a crest to Bashundhara Group MD Sayem Sobhan.

BG Head of Director (Accountants) M Rabiul Islam, General Manager (Admin & HR) Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal, General Manager (Port, Shipping & Public Relations) Major (retd) Sakir Ahmed, Programme Coordinators (Secondary) of BN School & College Mangla M Ehsanul Haque and GM Faisal Haque and Programme Coordinator (Primary) Sharmin Akhter Sharmi were among others present at the function.
