DHAKA: A Dhaka Court on Wednesday granted three-day remand for Daud Merchant, an aide of India’s top terrorist Dawood Ibrahim.

Magistrate of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court Nuru Miah passed the order in response to a seven-day remand plea of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan police for interrogation.

Earlier, the DB police produced Daud Merchant before the CMM court after he had been shown arrested under the section no. 54 of the code of criminal procedure.

The DB police nabbed Daud Merchant from city’s Khilgaon area early Wednesday, two days after his release from Kashimpur jail on bail.
