DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Commissioner M Sahabuddin Chuppu on Wednesday said there is no resemblance of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) survey with the reality.

He made the observation while talking to journalists at ACC headquarters in reaction to TIB-published corruption Index (CPI).

Sahabuddin Chuppu said, “The real situation is different from TIB report. We don’t agree with them but we can’t reject the report before watching the full one.”

Earlier, Transparency International Bangladesh unveiled its Corruption Perception Index in the morning, which said political influences play a vital role on Anti-Corruption Commission.

However, opposing the findings, ACC commissioner said that freeing somebody over lack of evidence doesn’t mean that ACC is freeing all from graft charges.
