DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy called on students to join Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL)’s ‘Clean and Safe Campus’ initiatives.
Joy made the call on his Facebook Page early Wednesday.
He said “This week Bangladesh Student League has started the Clean and Safe Campus initiative. We want to keep our educational institutes clean and safe from violence, harassment and terrorism.”
“We often see that unruly students immediately join whichever party is in power just to benefit themselves. This brings Student League a bad name and we will not tolerate that,” Joy added.
He went on saying “Last term our Awami League Government punished 650 Student League members, sending them to jail for violence. No other party in power has ever punished their own, only the Awami League. This is because we work for the good of the common people.”
“Please join Student League in ensuring a Clean and Safe Campus this week and always,” urged Joy, who is also Information and Communication Technology (ICT) advisor to the premier.
