COMILLA: Railway communication of Chittagong with Sylhet and Dhaka was halted after a train derailed in Moynamoti of Comilla district Thursday morning.

The four wheels of a compartment of Chittagong-bound inter-city Jalalabad Express veered off the tracks in Jangalia area around 9:55am, said Mostafizur Rahman, Assistant Engineer of the railway.

The Dhaka-Chittagong-Sylhet train link was suspended after the derailment, he added.

No casualties were reported in the incident.
