DHAKA: Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) officials detained seven people with 600 bottles phensidyl, 20 bottles foreign-made wines and two cartoons of bears in separate drives across the city early Friday.

Three of the detainees were identified as Azad Mian, 26, Sajeeb Mian 25, and Rakib Sheikh, 22.

DNC Gulshan Circle Inspector Layekuzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Layekuzzaman said, tipped off, the officials nabbed three people with 600 bottle phensidyl from a house in front of Ad-Din Hospital in the city’s Mogbazar area early Friday.

The DNC officials, in separate drives, apprehended four people in Panthapath and Neketon of Gulshan areas in the city. 20 bottle foreign wines and two cartoons of beer were also sized from their possession.

Separate cases were filed against the detainees, told the inspector.
