PATUAKHALI: An examinee of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) was killed in a road accident in Boga area of Dumki upazila on Friday.

The victim was identified as Abdullah, 19, hail from Bamna upazila of Barguna District.

Officer-in-charge (OC) Habibur Rahman of Dumki Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the accident occurred as a tempo collided head-on with a ‘tomtom’ (local vehicle) on Patuakhali-Baufal road in the area around 8:00pm when Abdullah was going to sit for PSTU admission test, leaving him severely injured.

Later, the locals whished off Abdullah to the Barisal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries.
