MIRSARAI (CHITTAGONG): Two persons were killed and five other injured in an accident on Sufia road at Mirsarai upazila of the district on Friday evening.

The deceased were identified as Niha Jaldash, 35, hailed from Govindapur village and Tajoner Neta, 65, hailed from Samitibazar area in the upazila.

Sub-Inspector of Mirsarai Thana Mohammad Arif told banglanews a covered van knocked down a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 6:00pm, leaving one dead on the spot and six others injured critically.

The injured were rushed to hospital where on duty doctor pronounced another person dead on arrival.
