GOALANDA, RAJBARI: Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia river route resumed from Sunday morning after around four hour suspension due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Sources of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Daulatdia office said that the authority suspended the movement of all type of water vessels including all six ferries on the route at around 4:00am to avoid accidents.

The suspension caused immense sufferings to several thousands of passengers due to cold weather.

Confirming the matter, BIWTC Daulatdia office Manager Shafiqul Islam told banglanews that vehicles, stranded on both sides of the river due to suspension, will be transported within the shortest possible time.
