SAVAR: A worker was killed as a bus rammed him in front of Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ) area of Ashulia on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mukta, 34, swing operator of Korean company ‘Young One’ and wife of  one Delwar Hossain, resident of Dudkhali village under Sadar upazila of Madaripur.

Assistant superintendent Rasel Sheikh of Savar circle confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Protesting the accident happened around 7:00am, the victim’s fellows barricaded the road till 8:00am and, set fire and vandalized some vehicles that created heavy traffic gridlock in the area.

Being informed police rushed to the area and took the situation under control.
