DHAKA: Customs intelligence detained a Bangladeshi passenger with foreign currencies worth about Tk 34 lakh at Shahjalal International Airport on Monday morning.

The detainee was identified as Abdul Motin, resident of Chhagalnaiya of Feni.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, deputy director of Customs intelligence Arindama Chakma said, “On suspicion officials searched luggage of Motin, who was about to fly to Dubai, and found aforesaid money.”

A case was under process to be filed against him, he added.
