DHAKA: Qatar will open an office to Bangladesh in increase its petro-chemical products to the country.
A meeting, held in industries ministry on Monday, between industries minister Amir Hossain Amu and Qatar ambassador Abdullah Abdulaziz Almana disclosed the matter.
They also discussed on several economic issues at the hour-long meeting.
The Qatar envoy said they have been exporting petro-chemical products to Bangladesh for many days. But they did not open any office here and continued the business with representatives.
They want to establish an office in Bangladesh through their representatives to increase the trade volume, he added.
Besides, the envoy also assured to expand business between the two brotherly countries.
Moreover, industries minister Amir Hossain Amu also promise to cooperate in establishing the office in Bangladesh.
Industry ministry top officials were also present at the meeting.
