BARISAL: A constable of Barisal Armed Police Battalion (APBn) filed a case against the home secretary, Inspector General of Police (IGP) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) with a court on Monday.
Constable M Nesar Uddin, hailed from Kamalapur area of Sadar upazila, filed the case with Barisal Administrative Tribunal Court.
Home Secretary Dr M Moazzem Hossain, IGP Hasan Mahmud Khandaker, Barisal Range DIG M Humayun Kabir and Commandant of Barisal APBn (SP) Quazu Mortaz Ahmed were made defendants of the case.
Judge Mia M Tarique Hossain took the case into cognizance and kept it for next order.
Plaintiff’s lawyer Advocate M Azad Rahman told banglanews on September 17 of 2013, SP Quazu Mortaz Ahmed convicted Constable M Nesar Uddin as per section 857 of Police Regulations, Bengal and ordered to cut Tk 240 per month for one year from his salary.
Later, Nesar Uddin appealed to Barisal Range DIG against the order. But on October 24 of 2013, in a revised order, the DIG ordered to cut Tk 240 per month for nine months.
Later, Nesar Uddin filed a law suit with administrative tribunal challenging the order.
The tribunal ordered to stop cutting his salary and entertain him with every facility that he should be endowed with.
On September 27, 2014, Nesar Uddin applied to the concerned authority with verdict copies.
Later, Nesar Uddin filed the case as the authorities did not implement the order after even two months.
