LAXMIPUR: A terrorist was killed and three law enforcers injured in a ‘gunfight’ between ‘Zishan Bahini’ and police in Latifpur village under Sadar upazila on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as M Roni, 30, whom police claimed as chief body guard of the ringleader.

Law enforcers also recovered a revolver and 12 rounds bullets from Roni.

Officer-in-Charge of Chandraganj Thana Humayun Kabir told banglanews police was conducting a drive to detain Laxmipur’s top terror Zishan.

During the drive, police opened fire as the terrorists opened fire to law enforcers sensing their presence that left Roni bullet-wounded and three other cops injured.

Later, police recovered 12 rounds unused bullet and a revolver from Roni and rushed him to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries under treatment, OC added.
