DHAKA: Four persons were detained with cocktails and cocktail-making materials from city’s Khilgaon area during a night long drive on Monday.

The detainees -- Riyad, 26, Hajrat, 25, Jamal, 27, and Hridoy, 24 -- were involved in terrorism, claimed police.

Sources told banglanews that they were detained from Khilgaon’s Goran around 1:00am.

Police, at that time, have also seized a motorcycle from them, sources added.

Confirming the matter, Khilgaon Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Mostafiz Bhuiyan said that acting on a tipped off, police detained three of them from an abandon house of that area, while making cocktails.

“Later, after being informed from them, we have detained another one,” he added. “Police have seized two fresh cocktails along with some cocktail-making materials from them.”

The law enforcers also seized the motorcycle, used by Riyad, a detainee, said the Khilgaon Thana OC.

Mentioning the detainees might have connection with the Saturday’s snatching of Tk 20 lakh from Goran, the police officer added that the four are being interrogated at Thana.

“The process of case filing against the detainees is underway,” he said.
