DHAKA: Police detained three suspected members of banned Islamic militant outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir Bangladesh in the city’s North Badda area Wednesday night.

The detainees are Amzad Hossaiin Sujan, 34, Nur Alama, 27, and Mahnudul Alma Anikm 18.

Police, however, seized a good number of leaflets from their possession.

A case was filed accusing the trio under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Badda Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) MA Jalil confirmed the matter to banglanews.
