DHAKA: The Quantum Foundation honored some 320 voluntary blood donors for their contribution in saving lives in a bid to encourage more people to take part in blood donation campaigns.
They were awarded after a blood donation program organized by the foundation at National Press Club in the city on Friday.
Barrister M Amir-ul-Islam as chief guest, handed over golden crest, certificate and special ID cards to 20 donors, who donated blood at least 25 times.
Moreover, 300 donors, who donated blood at least 10 times, were rewarded with Silver Medal, Certificate and Special ID cards, at the program.
Officers of the foundation, donors were present at the program with chief coordinator of the foundation Madam Nahar Al Bokhari in the chair.
