DINAJPUR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized various illegal Indian products including phensedyl worth around Tk 20 lakhs from “Drutojan Express” at Birampur rail station on Friday morning.

Witnesses said BGB members started searching the compartments of the train as soon as it arrived at Birampur railway station around 9:00am.

The seized goods include phensedyls, Indian saris, three pieces, pressure cookers and sex stimulant tablets.

Commanding Officer (CO) of Fulbari-29 BGB Battalion Zahidur Rashid PSC told banglanews that the price of seized goods was more than Tk 20 lakhs.

“The seized goods will be submitted to government tax warehouses after making a list of those and the drugs will be destroyed,” he added.
