DHAKA: The government will exercise maximum power to face blockaders in holding the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations smoothly.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu came up with the forewarning while addressing a press conference at secretariat in the city on Tuesday noon.
“Administrations will exercise supreme power during the upcoming SSC examinations to hold smoothly,” he said.
He, however, urged all political parties to postponed political activities during SSC examinations scheduled to be begun on February 2.
The government will not allow any disturbance during the examinations, he forewarned.
Explaining the supreme power, the minister said that it might be an arrest.
Replying to a question regarding the possibility of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s arrest, he said, “It will depend on situation.”
