KHULNA: Khulna City Corporation (KCC) mayor Moniruzzaman Moni, also BNP Khulna metropolitan unit general secretary, has been sent to Dhaka for medical treatment in a critical condition on Tuesday afternoon.

The mayor’s Assistant Personal Secretary (APS) Rezaul Karim told banglanews that Moniruzzaman has been suffering from digestion complexities from early Tuesday.

He was admitted immediately to Gazi Medical College Hospital in Khulna around 3:45am.

Later, he was shifted to capital’s Square Hospital for better treatment around 2:00pm as his condition deteriorated.
