GOALANDA (RAJBARI): Ferry services on Daulatdia-Paturia water way resumed around 6:30am on Friday after a seven-hour halt due to poor visibility caused by heavy fog.

Earlier, the authorities of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) temporarily halted the ferry services from 10:30pm on Thursday to 12:00am and 1:00am to 6:30am on Friday.

During the time, a passenger and vehicle filled ferry anchored in the middle of the river.

Master of Shah Makhdum ferry Monir Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Meanwhile, long tailback appeared on both sides of the river on the water way.
