Sushma Swaraj meets President

DHAKA: Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday met President Abdul Hamid, who is on a six-day official tour to India, at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

The two leaders are believed to have held bilateral discussions pertaining to the mutual interest of both nations, reports ANI news.

Besides, his meeting with Swaraj, he is scheduled to meet Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other senior leaders.

The President is also scheduled to visit places of historical and cultural importance both in and outside the Indian capital.

His visit will contribute to further strengthening and expanding the close bilateral relations between the two countries.

Earlier, Pranab Mukherjee had paid a state visit to Bangladesh in March 2013.
