DHAKA: A running train hit a taxi-cab on Khilgaon level crossing in the city on Saturday morning, leaving its driver injured.

Injured cab driver Monir Hossain was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.

According to the witnesses, the Jamalpur-bound Intercity train Agnibina Express hit the cab while passing through the crossing at around 10am. The train dragged the cab along some distance and then stopped.

The cab driver was rescued from inside the damaged vehicle in a critical condition.
