GOPALGANJ: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Tungipara here on Saturday to pay homage to her father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

SM Khurshid-Ul-Alam, the protocol officer-2 of the premier, sent a fax message to Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) on Friday in this regard.

Sheikh Hasina is expected to reach here in Gopalganj by a helicopter around 9:45am.

Later, she will place floral wreaths at the grave of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, offer Fateha and join a munajat around 10:00am.

Hasina is scheduled to leave for Dhaka at 3:00pm after prayer and lunch, the message added.
