Shipping minister stuck mid-Padma

DHAKA: Shipping minister Shahjahan Khan was stuck mid-Padma River for 10-hours as a ferry carrying him halted due to the dense fog in Shimulia-Kawrakandi sea route on Monday.

Sources said Shahjahan Khan and MP Bahauddin Nasim boarded on the ferry ‘Kakoli’ from Kawrakandi around 10:30pm. But it was stuck in the river due to the dense fog.

The ferry still stuck mid-river till filing the report.
