GOALANDA: Ferry services in the Daulatdia-Paturia route in Padma River resumed on Monday morning after an 11-hour halt due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

The authorities of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) issued order to resume the services at 9:15am after visibility returned.

Earlier, the authorities temporarily halted the ferry services in avoid accidents for heavy fog from 10:00pm Sunday.

Daulatdia ghat sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Hundreds of vehicles got stuck on both Daulatdia-Paturia ghats due the ferry service disruption, causing immense sufferings to people.
