BARGUNA: A passenger bus plunged into a pond on Barguna-Nishanbari road of the district on Monday morning.

Seven critically injured were whished off to the Barguna Hospital while the fate of other passengers was unknown.

Barguna Bus Workers’ Union president Shahbuddin Sabu confirmed the matter.

He said a bus of Hawlader Paribahan fell into the pond around 9:30am while going to Nishanbari from Barguna as the driver of the bus lost his control over the steering.

Being informed, the fire service unit rushed to the spot and rescued seven passengers from the bus with critical condition.

However, the rescue mission has been continued till filing the report.
