Reshuffle in civil admin

DHAKA: The government has appointed new directors general to Directorate of Jute, National Science and Technology Museum and Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD).

Besides, the government relocated eight additional secretaries including the chairman of Bangladesh Sugar & Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC).

The Public Administration Ministry issued an order regarding the reshuffles.

Additional Secretary to Public Administration Ministry M Abdul Mannan was made the director general (DG) of Directorate of Jute.

Salahuddin Mahmud, who was recently appointed as DG of Rural Development Academy (RDA) of Bogra, was appointed as DG of BARD, Comilla whereas, BARD DG Mashiur Rahman was appointed as chairman of BSFIC in that order.

National Science and Technology Museum DG M Humayun Kabir was made the member of Land Reformation Board and Additional Secretary Swapan Kumar Roy, who was on OSD (Officer on Special Duty), was made the DG of National Science and Technology Museum.

Additional Secretary Mahmuda Min Ara, who was on OSD, was appointed as Director of Bangabandhu Fellowship on SICT Project and OSD Additional Secretary Mia Abdullah Mamun was appointed at Labour Ministry.

Director of Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project Zahangir Alam was transferred as Additional Secretary of Roads and Highways Division.
