DHAKA: A covered van hit another covered van in front of Matuail Medical in the city early Saturday, killing latter’s helper and injuring its driver.

The deceased was identified as Saddam, 30, hailed from Chandpur district while injured is M Jahangir, 29.

Driver Jahangir told banglanews that a speedy covered van, coming from opposite direction, knocked his vehicle while he was turning it in Kadamtoli area at 3:30am, leaving him and Saddam injured. 

Later, locals rushed them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where Saddam succumbed to his injuries at 4:30am.

DMCH police outpost In-Charge Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
