DHAKA: A social welfare organization named Bangladesh Nagorik Seba has honored 50 Biranganas for their supreme sacrifice during Liberation War in 1971.

The function was held at Public Library auditorium in the capital on Saturday.

Speakers in the program said the women also played vital roles in the liberation war but they were not recognized properly.

They also demanded government move for all Biranganas (war heroines).

With president of the organization Firoz Alam in the chair, the program was attended, among others, by Awami league presidium member Advocate Yusuf Humayun.
