DHAKA: State Minister for Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) ministry Mashiur Rahaman Ranga on Friday categorically said ticket counters would be closed if owners of buses do not drive buses during 20-party’s blockade.
He also said the government will compensate to the owners if their vehicles suffer any loss due to blockade.
Ranga made the assertions after holding a meeting with the transport owners at Gabtoli in city in the afternoon.
“Human sufferings must not be increased by keeping transport services closed,” he added.
Forewarning the bus owners, AL leader Ranga said, “Ticket counters of bus services will be shut down if any company found to be keeping their services closed.”
He also said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina enjoined him to convey the message that the government will compensate for the losses that would be incurred by blockade.
