COMILLA: A person was chopped to death with a lethal weapon by his son in Marichakanda village under Debidwar municipality area of the district on Saturday night.

The ill fated father was identified as Yunus Mia, 50, resident of the area.

Locals said that Yunus Mia’s son Sohel chopped his father mercilessly with sharp local weapon in the area around 8:30pm, as Yunus refused to give him money.

However, Yunus succumbed on the way to Comilla Medical College Hospital.

Debidwar Thana Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
