DHAKA: A devastating fire broke out in Poolpar Slum in Katashur area of Mohammadpur in the city on Sunday morning. A total of 10 fire fighter units are working to bring the fire under control.

The fire began at 8:28am. Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) control room immediately confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Later at 9:00am, FSCD control room duty-officer Nazma Akter told banglanews that, on information, 10 fire fighting units from Mohammadpur, Palasi, Lalbag and FSCD Central Control Room rushed to the spot and are trying to extinguish the fire.

The origination of the fire could not be known immediately.
