DHAKA: Security has been beefed up at the Supreme Court (SC) area in the city following three time bombs found in two books at High Court on Sunday afternoon.
Huge member of law enforcers have been deployed at all entrances since Monday morning. Besides increasing vigilance of uniformed police, plain-cloth members of law enforcement agencies were also deployed in the area.
After searching, Justice-seekers and lawyers are being allowed to enter the court since morning. Lawmen also are checking people at entrances of main building of court and Annex Bhaban.
Regarding the matter, Supreme Court registrar SM Kuddus Jaman told banglanews that tight security measures have been taken in the court area to avert any untoward situation.
Suspected persons are allowed to entry the court after a good search, he added.
But presence of justice-seekers as well as lawyers were seen lower than another day
Earlier on Sunday, panic gripped in the court premises after three time bombs were found in two books at High Court.
In-Charge of Bomb Disposal Unit Senior Assistant Police Commissioner Rahamatullah said the bombs are not high powered and could hurt merely 4/5 people if exploded.
