PABNA: At least seven people were injured when several shots were fired by masked miscreants at Shalgaria area in the district town on Tuesday night.

Locals said that the miscreants, riding on three motorcycles, opened fire indiscriminately in a play ground where few people were playing badminton, leaving seven of them injured.

They were rushed to Pabna Hospital, confirmed Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Thana Ahsanul Haq. The reason of firing could not be known, he added.
