GAZIPUR: Miscreants chopped a teenage girl and her father to death at Salna village of Sadar upazila of the district early Thursday following the refusal of love proposal.

The deceased were identified as Akhi Akter, 15, her father Saiful Islam.

Police and deceased family sources said an unidentified boy has proposed him for some days. Refusing the love proposal, she informed the matter to her family members.

Following the matter, miscreants stormed into their house around 3:00am and chopped her to death on the spot.

Hearing her scream, her Father rushed in and tried to protect her. But the miscreants also hacked him randomly, leaving him injured critically.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 11:30am.

Joydebpur Thana Sub-Inspector Kamrul Islam told banglanews that they are trying to nab the killer or gang of killers.
