GAIBANDHA: A minor was killed and three others injured in an accident on Rangpur-Dhaka highway’s Gobindaganj area Thursday night.

The identity of the deceased, 10, could not be known immediately.

Sources told banglanews that the incident took place around 9:30pm when a rashly driven ambulance knocked a truck from behind at upazila’s Chapriganj.

The truck was crossing a speed-breaker at that time, sources added. The accident left an unidentified child dead on the spot apart from three others, who were in the ambulance, injured.

Confirming the matter, Gobindaganj Highway Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Masud Parvej said that the injured are undergoing treatment at upazila health complex.
